John, resident at Bridgepoint in Florence, KY, was presented with a new motorized wheelchair in August. Brother Scott Shelton of Bishop Ackerman Council 5453 organized a fundraising campaign and was able to find a replacement chair for $2,500. Bishop Ackerman Council donated $250.00 to help reach the goal. Brother Terry Kidwell of the council also assists with weekly Mass for the residents. Brothers Shelton and Kidwell along with parishioners of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish were on hand to give John his much needed new set of wheels.
