Bishop Flaget Council 13053 is in the middle of a successful Coats for Kids program. They set a goal of raising $8,000 to purchase winter coats for those that cannot afford winter coats this winter. They are giving the coats to Catholic Charities so they can distribute them as they see best.
The following councils have also donated to this great cause. Fr Mount Mercy Council #14604 donated $500, Father William Diersen Council #13304 donated $500, and St. Michael’s Council #15525 also donated $500.
After posting the attached notice in the church’s narthex, the council’s total amount raised, including donations from other councils, is almost $10,000. What great success this has been!
