Council #14372 in Lexington held a pulled pork BBQ fundraiser and raised $1,500. This money is being donated to the State Council to be held and used to help fund the next Ultrasound Initiative Project in Kentucky.

Former District Deputy Paul McCavick received an award from SD Frank Shay and IPSD Bill Schmidt recognizing his accomplishment of recruiting 61 members in the previous two years.

Council #5071 Baby Shower
For the month of June, Sacred Heart Council #5071 held a Baby Shower to collect baby items for the Heart and Soul Life Center. The Center provides much needed items to new mothers and mothers-to-be. The Center provides life skills training along with other support. The Heart and Soul Life Center is located in Eastern Kentucky of Manchester. The Baby Shower was very successful this year, as we doubled our donation from last year.

Fr. Bealer Council gives for children
Dick Wilson, Grand Knight, & Jim Hengehold, Director of the Spring Collection (dark jacket) presented $1400 checks to Paul Miller, Development Director for the Diocesan Catholic Children’s Home, and Anne Sturgis, Development Manager for the Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky.
