Lady of Fatima statue stop
The world-famous International Pilgrim Virgin Statue (IPVS) of Fatima is one of two “twin” statues sculpted in 1947 by famous sculptor José Thedim. The image reflects the precise instructions of Sister Lucia.
Her desire was that the pilgrim image represent Our Lady’s position when she revealed herself as the Immaculate Heart to the Shepherds in 1917. Our Lady of Fatima through the Pilgrim Virgin Statue, set forth from Fatima in May, 1947 to claim her dominion and become the Pilgrim of the World, carrying first to devastated Europe after WWII the message of peace.
Prayer for the U.S. Tour
O Queen of the Rosary, Sweet Virgin of Fatima, who has deigned to appear in the land of Portugal, we beg you to watch over our dear homeland and assure its moral and spiritual revival.
Bring back peace to all the nations of the world so that all, our own nation in particular, may be happy to call you their Queen and the Queen of Peace. Amen.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for our country.
Our Lady of Fatima, obtain for all humanity a lasting peace.
Fraternally,
Jason J. Cabral GK
Stewards of Appalachia receives $10,000 grant
Stewards of Appalachia is beginning our 11th year since our first trip to Mississippi to assist victims of Hurricane Katrina and we have been blessed from the beginning with dedicated donors and the greatest and most loyal volunteers and we would not exist without you. As you know, we operate with all volunteers allowing us to utilize all of our donations to support our mission. In fact, we purchased material this past week for a family whose mobile home was badly damaged by a fallen tree. Because we are able to operate without salaries or corporate overheads, we were able to secure a $10,000 grant from UPS. This money will be used to procure building materials and services for our annual trip in October. As always, all remaining funds from our fund raising effort will be used to purchase materials for winter and spring projects when volunteer groups are scarce. Thank you for supporting our mission and making this work possible.
