Members of Holy Rosary Council 1055 in Paducah were asked to construct a 20 X 30 patio for Victory Through Grace Ministries in Paducah. Victory Through Grace is a non denominational ministry founded and directed by two Catholic lady members of St Francis de Sales Parish in Paducah. It’s mission is the rehabilitation of victims of human trafficking. In order to construct the new patio, an old and unsightly brick patio had to be removed first. One of the members of Council 1055, DD Pat Lipford, provided a skid steer loader to remove the bricks, and relocate a holly bush for the ladies. DD Pat also leveled the ground so construction could begin. Members then dug an 18 inch deep footer to insure that the patio would be there a long time. The Council arranged for Ready Mix concrete to be donated by Federal Materials, Inc, in Paducah, along with reinforcing wire. On June 25 at 6AM, the first truck arrived, and pouring began, followed shortly by the second load. By noon on the 25th, the patio was finished to a very smooth surface.
Right to Life Mass
On Sunday January 17th Archbishop Kurtz celebrated a Mass for all human life. The Mass was sponsored by the Knights of Columbus but was open to all and the turnout was great. Every seat in the church was taken.
