The All Saints Knights of Columbus Council #14234 donated in the Archbishop’s name $700.00 to the Spencer County, Ky “Cram the Cruiser” program, which supplied 140 food baskets to the community on December 16.
Elizabethtown Council 1455 Ultrasound
Elizabethtown Council #1455 recently presented Clarity Solutions with a new ultrasound thanks to the Supreme Ultrasound Initiative. This will give mothers a view of their baby and help save the lives of our most vulnerable precious children.

24 Hour Food Drive
Council #1264 in Lebanon, KY heled a 24-hour food drive on November 18th.
That’s A Wrap!!!!! The K of C 24 Hour Food Drive is Over & the Items have been Delivered. We Collected 3525 Food Items & $330 for the Community Service Center of Lebanon. There are far too many people who helped and donated to Thank You all individually, but if you participated in any way I would like to Thank You from the bottom of my heart. Special Thanks to Jeremy Bowman & Tom Sparks for Braving the Weather with Me. When Jeremy Bowman talked to me about his idea I never in my wildest dreams would have thought we could have done what we did, it’s pretty incredible.
American Heritage Girls learn about Fr. McGivney
The American Heritage Girls at Christ the King Cathedral wanted to learn more about Fr. McGivney and invited PGK Chris Luketich and GK Joe Buckman to one of their meetings. The Knights put together a program telling the story of our founder – Fr. McGivney and the founding of the Order. The girls learned a bit about Fr McGivney, our commitment to the rosary, that the focus of charity is for the protection of the family.
What was noticeable was how similar the AHG’s mission is to the KofC. These two groups often leverage each other in support of activities at the Cathedral Parish. When the Knights offered a rosary ring to all visitor’s at masses, a ribbon to allow the guest to wear the rosary-ring around their neck needed to be strung for each ring. The AMG troop and often their families would string the ribbon and return them to the Knights.
During Oktoberfest, the girls evangelize among the guest. They hand out rosaries and approach young and old alike asking if there is someone or something that they can pray for. The troop of girls place flags on veteran’s graves and help sell kettle corn made by the Knights – and the Knights, in turn, make an annual donation to the troop to support their needs.
By exposing the girls to the Knights over the years has resulted in a number of the dad’s joining the Order. These two groups have helped each other in support of their missions and have fostered a strong relationship that will continue into the future.
In the end, the 3 age groups each made poster board artwork using the KofC logos and expressing their love and appreciation for the Knights.
American Heritage Girls is a faith-based character building program for girls. Troop 0356 has existed since 2012/13 at the Catheter parish.
