The attached is a picture of the original Bishop Mulloy Hall located in Newport. It is now called the Southgate House. We sold it in 1976. I was the last Grand Knight there. All the second and third degrees were held there along with Clergy Night and Nuns Appreciation Day.
The second picture shows the council officers 1957
The third is a picture of the many dances we had at the old hall.

Congratulations to our 18 newest 3rd-degree brother knights. On Saturday, December 8, 2019, Mt. Mercy Council hosted a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree. Five of these men went through all three degrees today. Way to go!
One of the greatest joys of being a Knight is the feeling of brotherhood with those in your council as well as with Knights around the world. This is never more apparent than when Council 16232 gets together for their annual turkey fry on Thanksgiving morning. The cool brisk air at 5am definitely wakes us up as we prepare the fry pots for the Thanksgiving centerpiece for those families that allow us to prepare their turkeys for them. This year we cooked 23 turkeys, 1 ham, and 1 goose and even fried a Boston butt (we will fry anything in the south). Of course, the first turkey to come out is the sample turkey for all in attendance, and it was delicious, as usual. Twelve brothers showed up to help and enjoy fellowship with each other to start the holiday and we were able to raise over $350 which will be used to purchase and fill stockings for each of the children on the Angel Trees at Christ the King Church in Scottsville and St. Mary’s Church in Franklin.
