Reverend Martin Hayes, Kentucky State Faithful Friar

Reverend Martin E. Hayes, age 53, of Rome, KY died suddenly on
July 10, 2012 at St, Martins Church Rectory.
Father Hayes attended St. Thomas College in St. Paul, MN, St.
Pius X Seminary in Erlanger, KY, and Mt. St. Mary’s Seminary in
Emmitsburg, MD. He was ordained by Bishop John McRaith on June
2, 1984.
Father Hayes was a State Friar of the Knights of Columbus. He
has been Associate Pastor at Blessed Mother Parish, St. Joseph
and Paul Parishes in Owensboro, Pastor at St. Edward in Fulton,
KY, Sacred Heart in Hickman, KY, St. Jude in Clinton, KY, St.
William and St. Lawrence in Knottsville, KY, St. Paul in
Leitchfield, KY, St. Elizabeth’s in Clarkson, KY, and St. Martin
Parish in Rome, KY.
He was preceded in death by his father Thomas Hayes and a
brother Tom Hayes.
He is survived by his mother; Patricia Kern Hayes of Cloverport,
KY, four brothers; Bernie (Pam) Hayes of Hartford, KY, Hilary
Hayes of Smithfield, KY, David (Helen) Hayes of Cloverport, KY,
Stanley (Michelle) Hayes of New Haven, KY, four sisters; Ruth
(Ron) Wiles of Lexington, NC, Mary (Jeff) Blanton of New Albany,
IN, Emily (Jim) McCarty of Louisville, KY, Margaret (Ken)
Annunziata of Winston-Salem, NC, and several aunts, uncles,
nieces, and nephews.

ROBERT (BOBBY)
JONES,
SR., 65, of Taylorsville, KY, passed away Monday, July 2, 2012.
He was a member of the All Saints Catholic Church, a member and
PGK of the Knights of Columbus, a retired police officer with
the Jefferson County Police Dept., and an Army Veteran.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Jean Jones.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Rose Jones;
children, Angela Hosch (Brian) and Robert Jones Jr. (Selina);
grandchildren, Trevor, Madison, Kambel and Samantha; sister,
Carol Hubbuch (Ray); brother, William D. Jones Jr. (Pat). He is
also survived by his faithful and devoted Boston Terrier, Pearl
and many other family and lifelong friends.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday
July 6, 2012, at All Saints Catholic Church, 410 Main Cross,
Taylorsville, KY 40071, (502) 477-6676. Interment to follow at
Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Thursday, 1-8
p.m. at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road.
